Sic pepper's Rich. Got mine today and can say they are the largest, pimpled up
Bhuts I have ever seen. Might have to get some more.
Confirmed retarted hot as well. Blown away that they have ridiculous heat and this is coming from someone who has been having some brain strains lately. Great...
I under a 400 watt metal halide/hps set up. Go ahead and look it up Pepper pollen will go sterile over 95 degrees. I have tons of flowers and none will set. The other problem is our night temps are staying too hot as well.
Once it's over 95 the pollen becomes steril and they won't produce. I have lived in AZ for years and once it's over 95 you need to bring them in and grow under lights or they will never produce any peppers. The flowers will never set mine have been dropping like crazy from heat and they only...
Mine were out for delivery today and nothing showed up. I leave for Cali tmrw morning so hopefully they show up tmrw and my nephew can stop by and grab them. When will more be available Dale?
thanks for the feedback--- i will do this as soon as it warms up here a bit -- both plants are pretty dormant so i want them to start growing back some leaves a little bit before upsetting them.
I have two Bhut Jolokia plants from last season that are still in the old dirt and way to give them new life. Should i just pull they out of the container and try to keep some dirt around the ball of the plants and just replant with new dirt-- what's the best idea here?
They definitely look like some kind of hab-- definitely not pure-- maybe they are a cross but look odd in shape and texture to be bhut- especially the shape which look habish.
They are not aborting- they literally are not producing flowers yet. I did cut them back about a month ago. Trying to keep them somewhat small til the fall.
I have noticed that the Bhuts i have outside look and are healthy but with the heat in az- they will not produce flowers. When i look back a couple years ago i noticed the same thing with the habs. As soon as sept hits i will get flowers watch- end of sept. Its funny being the only grower pretty...
The biggest difference between pico is pico is just chunks of serranos or jalapeno's normally, sliced chucks of onion, tomatoe, splash of lime and cilantro. Pico is real basic where as salsa is more soupy and usually has more ingredients. Hope that helps!
The
Habs all have that apricot like flavor and smell. I have never got anything smokey out of a hab. I even am harvesting White peruvian habs that are suppose to be smokey that i detect none of== only that charactertic apricot flavor-- just a little though.
