PIC 1's......Pod Pornage.............2012

Here's the start on my grow log. Well no pods yet but I have to start somewhere, and away we go!

The seeds in the containers are all c.chinense. They were dunked in a germinating solution for an over-nighter on December 1st.
This was the first phase of the germination process with plantings happening every 2 weeks through the month of January.
The annum species and the mild/medium strains will get planted late Jan through early Feb.

Most of these are "Super-hots.

Here's a shot from today, things are looking up and up.

Here's a unique looking seedling. It has 3 cotyledon's and a set of 3 true leaves. The seedling is a Trinidad Scorpion Green, seeds are from Chris (cc). I've seen the triple cotyledon with my Coronong's but not the triple set of true leaves at the same time

Here's another seedling that caught my eye. The leaves are as dark purple as my Dutch.Hot's. This one's the Purple Bhut Jolokia seeds were also from Chris. I know the leaves will eventually turn green.....but right now they look pretty...

Did somebody say "Purple"......Here's one of my overwinters. The Maui Purple. The flowers have set and soon the chili's will form...........yea

And finally another overwinter and was an over-achiever/producer last season. That's why its here. It's's the TS Butch T

Loosen up your "rope" and enjoy that bloody mary. That had to be a "Baer" digging through that jungle. You are a beaut my man. Seems like the shows you watched growing up, were reruns when I was growing up. Never knew his dad was a heavyweight champ until I watched the movie "Cinderella Man". Enjoy your weekend sir.

I'm slowly starting to get new waves of flowers on the plants. The 100 deg temps are gone and the evenings are dropping down to the mid 70's. Its perfect pepper weather!

Here's this mornings harvest......the amount is gradually starting to pickup. There's nothing like a spiked up "Bloody Mary" to round out the todays pick!

Amazing. Love the look of those bonnets! And one with a stinger, cool. The bowl of peppers is amazing too. This looks like one of those pictures that are good to look at in January or so.

Greg that is an amazing shot with the plants in the background. The yellow bonnets with the tail is amazing pod variation. I can not wait to see you start pulling out the big tubs for harvesting.

The flavor is similar to the "Cajamarca"..........mild heat, crunchy, somewhat dry.......Its a beautiful looking plant, though

Hope your weather is continuing to moderate for ya.
We've got four 90-100 degree days in the forecast
for Friday through Monday. That's warm for here,
but not unusual. Will lose a lot of flowers and mini
pods probably.

Paul the upper 90's low 100's are no party for the plants, we've had alot of that this year. My plants looked terribly dehydrated yesterday.
I gave the light weight containers a drink of water...........and then I had a drink myself. This morning I brought a tray of plants from to grow room to spend the day outdoors and i noticed all the outdoor plants recouped with the 70 deg overnight temps.
Good luck with the weekend weather.....you shouldn't lose anything.......cause you'll have those "green thumbs" workin...

The Kung Pao's were from "Lake Valley" seed co.

Good description of the Cajamarca, just as I remember them from last year.

I have the Cajamarca growing this year also. its a great producer. I just don't care for the "raw" taste to it, but since I spend alot of my time at home "Slaving Over a Hot Stove" I can always find a way to incorporate those into a dish.

I compared the taste straight up against a ripe Scotch Bonnet and the Goat had a fruity, mellow upfront taste............not that typical harsh citric bite that some of congo/habs have...

There is not enough of this stuff. Gives me that feeling like when you scratch a dog in the right spot. My one leg is running on it's own!
Matt started taking detailed and labeled photos also. Very beneficial to us,and would be growers. I am glad you decided to incorporate this weekly. Is the lighting one of your t8s raised up pretty high over the pods? Not a very dark shadow in those shots.
