I think that is a protected pepper thats why no one has it. I know it comes from brazil but I don't think seeds are allowed out of there. If I ever get those don't worry I will sell them to you for a great deal 100 bucks a piece lol

LOL!!! Got some buddies in town that are from Brazil. They are going back for a small trip soon, will see if they can track some down for me and bring seeds back. Cross my fingers! :)

I know a ton of people from brazil so if your friends can't find some on that small trip then I will have people looking long term for them and if you find some I will be in absolute aww you will have to set up a seperate grow log just for those

Oh wow nice let me know if they find something interesting
I know people around Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza also various other places I'm going to see if they can find any peppers in the markets

Best area they will find them in are in southern Brazil; Minas Gerais, Parana, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Sao Paulo. Right in my guys and your ppl's area. It will be a hard one to find. :)

I looking for those seeds of C.Villosum last five yearto get from my Brazilian friend two people promice that they will look for it & send me some so I hope they do that.I give those people tons of seeds last few years.

Chiltepin. Not only my favorite wild, but my favorite chile of all of them. Until I change my mind....

I grew the Sonoran Chiltepin last year that was really delightful. This year, I'm trying handful of other chiltepins including two different types of Chiltepin Amarillo which I'm excited about. They're late starts, but with a little luck I'll still get some fruit...

Cool! I'll be anxious to hear how they taste...All I know is the regular CPI red version...

Does Cumari do Para count as a wild? I thought I would love it, and my plants grew big and bushy and produced like crazy...The pods were tasty and real spicy, but I found myself still preferring good ol' Chiltepin...

My plan was to grow a Chiltepin hedge this year, but damping-off destroyed most of my seedlings...Two plants do not a hedge make...

Only a few "wild" chinense that I have seen and I think some are just renamed or very similar. There has been some debate over wild form chinense and frutescen. The du para definitely has a chinense taste, and if you forget,it reminds you 3 days later when you are still burping it. hah

My fav right now is CGN19198. I have seen this, and a CGN19198 #2. The one I have is growing like frozen molasses, and frail as hell.

Man, so glad to see ppl posting about Wild varieties. Nice break from all the superhot talk. Anyone got info on Amish bush? Have it but did not grow it this year. Will be on 2014 list to grow. Besides the Tovarii, i'am growing Chilli Penguin, Sonoran Chiltepin, CAP499,CAP501, and Cumari Pollux. Thanks Dan O! Had some others but did not germ well. Well do much more wilds next season. :)

I think I would grow them every year if I had the space for them. I promised to grow some super hots for my brother and his son and some of course for me. once I get them off my list for awhile, I'll get back to growing the wild varieties, I love their taste, but picking a few hundred pods off of just a couple of plants can be tirering, so now I put a plastic tarp down at the base of them and just shake the hell out of the plants as most ripe pods just fall off. The hardist part is deseeding them so i can grind them up leaving the seeds in imparts a bitter taste that I don't like. I usually end up drying them whole or pickling a few thousand pods and packing them in quart jars. I have some seeds of a C. eximium that doesn't have any heat I know it just goes by a number, but I want to get a hot type again or cross it with a C. cardenasii. I woul love to cross them with a Rocoto and then back cross with either a eximium or a cardenasii as the two develope pods all season as they take the heat much better than the rocoto which stops mid season till it cools back down. I would love to find a monster rocoto or Manzano from maybe Mexico that would take the heat and have a full season.
The unripe rocoto pods are not as tasty and the plants are in full swing when our killer frost hits so I end up pulling plants that are full of green pods, the green pods do stuff well, but I would rather have them ripe.
I'd like to get at least three or four C. galapagoense plants going a long with the same number of Tovari ot a hot variety of Lanceolatum some of the wild ones are self sterile and need at least two or three plant so that they can get proper pollination, I think that some of the seeds I have tried growing may have been sterile as I have waited months for seeds to sprout without any luck. Next year i will be getting a new heating mat as the old one I had finally quit so I need to get another one before I try growing anymore wild varieties that have a lone germination time. What I need is to come up with a large mat that will heat several large seed trays and or a few hundred cups, I have been thinking about using electric blanket wiring that has a heating control and making one very large heated rubber mat as the ones that are for sell can be very expensive.

If we are talking unobtainable, C.dusenii.
How about Turbocapsicum Anomalum ,,,,I thought I had a shot at em once from a national seedbank,,not to be ! :snooty:

Not many wilds taste good,,I do like Cumari Pollux,,and Tepins..

My Sexy Flexy was the only plant I ever had to survive a winter!!
very pretty plant and throws out pods like crazy, but the peppers do not have any heat!

Sexy Flexy
