seeds Starting plants from seeds

Im sure its been asked before 1k times...but I want to save the seeds from my mutton peppers. Whats the best way to preserve them for planting later next year?

I dry mine out on paper towel for a few days and then put them in a bag. Plastic probably isnt the best thing to keep them in but I have had seeds last for several years in plastic bags. Most commercial seed vendors sell their seeds in paper sleeves/envelopes. Either way, keep them cool and dry and they will be fine.
