shade Shade in zone 7-8

Mkay, read through 5 pages using search function.. I live in central Alabama, 90-100f temps during Summer. Part of our property is an old pecan orchard, think containers would do better shaded there than out in an open field? I'm planning on trying a few plants from each variety in the orchard to compare to the plants I'll be running in the field.

containers will probably do better in August / July. But full sun field harvest probably bigger in sep / oct.
 
pepper plants usually can adapt to hot weather / sun.
