dried Serious Amount of Heat - Dried!

Done for a while now. My last four endeavors:

In order:

- Caribbean Red
- Mix of PI 441606, PI 441612, and PI 441615
- Mix of Bih Orange, Super Datil, and Yellow Scorpion-CARDI
- Tobago Sweet Scotch Bonnet

so chris, you freeze them whole, then thaw them and then dehydrate?
 
Great pictures both of you. It would make sense if he wanted them whole to freeze first to crush the cell walls and make drying easier. I also noticed and was wondering why.
 
Yep AJ, that's exactly what I do for the reason PRF stated AND the fact it's more convenient than running the dehydrator using small batches. I don't get the output of pods you do AJ. :) One thing I'm going to do is to slice a knife hole in the dethawed pods prior to dehydrating to allow for better airflow. I'm not sure if this will speed up drying, but I'll give it a shot. There's a HUGE difference in dehydrating time moving from 115 deg to 125 deg.
