music Sept. 25th Is "One Hit Wonder Day "- Whats Yours?

some people may notice my choices for this thread are all over the musical map. some newer, some older. some pop and some rock.

also i`ll add that a band can be considered a 1 hit wonder here but have many hits in other countries and vica versa(sp)?

when i was very young all i heard was AM radio playing pop music like this one.......

these guys were probably big in the UK back in the day but a 1 hit wonder here. they had a second song that got a minor amount of radio play titled "once bitten twice shy" which has been covered by other bands. all the young dudes was written by david bowie in a matter of hours and given to them when he heard they were planning on disbanding.

Not only in the UK but also in Denmark but then a lot of the music we listened to on the radio back then came from the UK. Another great Mott the Hoople song is Roll Away the Stone.

And another singer that I've never heard before or since:

This did make the charts and was hugely popular. We used to go watch it drunker than skunks because the cinema that showed it for years let you. We would all get trashed at the theater and never get hassled by the local PD.
Pretty much everyone i knew saw it more than once in the 12yrs that it ran every Friday at midnight. https://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/arts-and-theatre/trash-nostalgia-rocky-horror-returns-to-the-stage/article_8fd63837-a927-53af-a799-c27e7b948144.html
