I have these little things doing a bit of damage, any ideas what they are and how to deal with them. Also found them on my cucumbers as i was removing some leaves with powdery mildew.
looks like an aphid farm. Black ones are ants which are tending and protecting the aphids so they can drink the honeydew excretions. Try blasting them off with a garden hose then mixing some peppermint oil and garlic salt in a spray bottle and coating the undersides of the leaves.
