Peppers of Khasi Hills

Hey everyone, it's been ages since I posted here. I'm in school to study agriculture, and may have an opportunity to grow and even do research into hot pepper production and breeding on the West Coast of Canada in the next couple of years. So I may have loads of questions, because you pepper-heads are such a treasure trove of knowledge. If anyone has any questions regarding agriculture in general, please let me know.

My question this time is if anyone knows of any pepper varieties that are specifically found in the Khasi Hills, or more generally around Meghalaya? Are there any wild, or semi-wild peppers, like the nagas of the Naga Hills region that you know of? I'm particularly interested in chinense's, but any pepper species is of interest.
