wine Nanking Cherry Wine

I don't live in a tropical climate but there are fruits that grow in my area and the Nanking Cherry is one such fruit.

Come with me and have a look at my tree to see the berries.

Next, someone has to pick the berries and since no members are here with me, guess I will have to recruit..........GIRLS!

....next we crush the berries and be careful not to break the seeds(they contain arsnic).

Of course, I skipped a few steps, like adding sugar, wine yeast, acid blend, grape tannin and pectic acid.

Wait seven months and you end up with something like this:

The smell is distinctively cherry, the flavour is sweet and cherry like but the hint of alcohol adding the flavour.

Cheers,

...........and at Christmas dinner, what perfect match with turkey. You can feel the turkey dissolving in your mouth and saliva glands releasing as you take a mouthful of this red beauty.
