Last year someone gave me a bhut jalokia pod and told me it was officially the hottest chile in the world. This intrigued me alot. I had been living in my own world of New Mexico chiles and never knew or cared about anything else because I was so content. Researching the bhut led me to this site and I now have a very unexpected new passion...superhots. I think the publicity created when a chile/pepper gets rated no.1 is good (even if it is technically not accurate). I hope the other superhots get officially rated thus leading to better acceptance by the general public. This stuff is fun.
