hydroponic Hydro setup How to hydroponics. Many questions

KK yawl. I think i'll do a small , very small inexpensive hydro system this year for about a plant or two. What set up you recommend i make or buy. How would i make it. What equipment and materials would i need to use and maintain it and can it be used outside, or can hydro systems only be used indoors. This is my first try at hydro.

baha,

That's sort of like asking what's a good veggie to fix for supper!

The easiest and cheapest system to build is DWC - get a 5-gallon bucket, a net pot, small air pump and some kind of way to diffuse the air from it (an airstone or soaker hose).

Honestly, your best bet is to Google Hydro systems, see what one(s) you like, then ask specific questions about building it.

air pump-9.95
air stone'-.99
air tubing-2.25
about $18.00-$21.00 to make:P

There are so many simple hydroponic setups but the easiest would be to simply handwater plants (with pH'd nutrient water) in a soiless/nutrient free medium. Coir is a great medium as long as you're willing to use coir specific nutrients
