Hi there , from Penang, Malaysia.

Hi friends and chilliheads,

I am new to chilli growing. Have imported plenty of seeds through ebay and from HSC. I only imported the super hot varieties like.
Bhut Jolokia
Chocolate Bhut Jolokia
Bhir Jolokia,
Trinidad Scorpion
Trinidad Scorpion Butch T
Trinidad Scorpion Morouga Blend
7 Pot Red
7 Pot Yellow
Dorset Naga
Fatalii
Bonda Ma Jacques

I have germinated some in pure compost. I get good germination rate but the seedlings seem stunted ( no much growth in 2 weeks), second set of leaves look shriveled yellow. I have then germinated some in Jiffy peat pellet. The seedlings seem to be doing much better. I have read up alot from this forum and truely enjoy the reading and definitely got inspired by the great photos on wonderful chilli plants.. Its not easy to get the equipment and supplies mention in this forum. Etc Rockwool, Root riot, Chilli focus, Pro mix, miracle grow, seaweed extract, fish emulsion etc. So far I managed to find a soil mix using John Innes #1 formula and will have 100 liter each of Vermiculite and Perlite send to me tomorrow. The hottest chilli I often come across at my area are mainly birds eye from vietnam. Personally I have not seen any Malaysian Goronong, I believe they are pretty rare even in Malaysia. The weather in Malaysia ranges from 33C in during the day and 26C during the night throughout the year with very high humidity. I hope the weather will be great for chinense varieties that I have imported.
Looking forward to learn from all of you.
