Has anyone seen this weird phenomenon before?

I harvested a bunch of red bhuts today and came across these two bizzare looking pods. They look like they are either siamese twins, tumorous growths, or male pods ;)

Anyone ever see this before?

Not that drastic personally but i do have a bhut jokila that produced a offshoot near the stem that ripened while the rest of the pod was still green..
So what do you call those? Double your heat?

Must be something in the cow manure that I used to amend the soil prior to planting. Makes for a cool looking pod though.

None of my own pods have ever done that, but the leaves occasionally do. However, I've seen others post pics of theirs doing the same thing, so it seems somewhat "common".

I've had a Veitnamese "bird" type do the same thing except not quite so long and it ripened much earlier than the rest of the pod.

Bhut Jolokia Nasal Strain :liar:

Ive never had that happen..yet. It would be cool to see if that mutation carries on through the genetics or it is a physical defect.
