I usually buy my Jerk from the Jamaicans-Dominicans as it easier than making a small batch because only myself and my oldest will eat it. I asked them why they always use legs, thinking that they were cheaper... I was told the legs will hold the flavor much better :)
 
Legs are okay they can dry out unless you cook them less than the other chicken. Thighs have the same dark meat, and more of it. Jerk thighs are very good.
