favorite favorite thing about growing peppers

The burn! Everything else takes a back seat but loving the flavors along the way. It's been like taking the scenic route trying to find the ultimate burn. Totally believe the flavors are deeper, denser and more complex in the peppers with a hotter and better quality of burn. So it's a never-ending journey of flavors and endorphins.

A superhot cured me of a bad stomach flu just the other week! I was going to go to the doctor which is saying a lot for me. Worst stomach flu I've ever had went up against one of the best superhots I've ever had Burn-wise. The pepper won! Felt better that very day. Got seeds of that variety! Love growing plants in general as well. Teaches me about nature and life.

To get more of a variety of peppers. Local farmers market mainly carry Poblano, Jalapeno, Habanero.
I want more exotic/hotter plants. So figured easiest way.., grow em yourself
agree with this my local store have the same so by growing them I get exactly what I want and not whatever my local stores have

Cooking foreign dishes with peppers from my garden that require specific, impossible to find in the States fresh peppers. It really brings an authenticity to a meal, that can only be had through hard/fun work in the garden.

I also like making hot sauce and jelly.

I can't really enjoy a meal unless it burns my mouth a bit. It's like a 6th taste sense. I would give up sweet over burn, in a heart beat, if I had to sacrifice one sense.
