Explosive ember main stem top is dying

For some reason the top of my main stem is dying, all the leaves there dried out and the new growth also dried.
The side shoots are growing crazy tho. And idea what could cause this weird pinpoint death?
And the dead leaves are not dropping by themselves, should I simply cut them off?

It looks like the stem is broke from picture right in the middle. If that is the case everything above it will die. You can trim that back, but it doesnt matter. It will end up dieing anyway. Thats what the dead leaves look like anyway. It it was me I would just pull the dead leaves out. Are you have problems with growth? Are no new leaves coming up?

I didn't notice any broken stem but I'll go take a look, the leaves dying started 2 weeks ago or so it started from a certain point and kept going up towards the new growth. No new growth there anymore but the other parts are growing great as can be seen.
What do you mean a section of the roots take a crap?

OK I just looked, nothing seems to be broken, just above a certain point everything died, I also trimmed the leaves with scissors because they were still hook up pretty strong and I didn't want to hurt anything

Ever cut a big root on a plant and or even a tree, within days a section of leaves will begin to die

Oh thanks good to know but it's weird that only a part of the main stem died.
Update my previous post: OK I just looked, nothing seems to be broken, just above a certain point everything died, I also trimmed the leaves with scissors because they were still hook up pretty strong and I didn't want to hurt anything
