lighting Cost of running lights

Anyone know the cost of running T5 High Output lights in Brooklyn NY?

Like per hour?

Im talking about these http://htgsupply.com/Product-HTG-Supply-4-Foot-2-Lamp-High-Output-T5-Fixture.asp

If you dont know how much, do you know where I can find out for myself? Thanks!

If it's just one fixture, not much about $5-$10 xtra a month. I recommend ebay just search T5 grow light. I got a good one for cheap on ebay :)
But if you go 4 bulbs + then obviously it will be more $ to operate

EDIT- missed the Brooklyn Ny part my bad
so xtra $$$ most likely

Your electric bill is calculated in kilowatt-hours or the number of kilowatts of power times hours of use in the monthly billing period.

That fixture says that is uses only approx. 108 watts but emits 10,000 lumens!

So using 108W for say 16 hours per day (16 on\8off schedule) == 108 x 16 = 1728 watt hours = 1.728 Kwh per day x 30 days = 51.84 Kwh per monthly billing cycle

To calculate the cost of the energy use, multiply the number of kilowatt-hours by the cost per kilowatt-hour charged by your energy supplier. For example, at the national average of 9 cents multiply by $.09.

So 51.84 x .09 = $4.67 per month to run the 1 fixture 16 hours per day !! (to calculate your actual cost find the Kwh charge on your bill and calculate using above as NYC is probably above the national average cost !)
