"Clumping" growing technique?

Clumping anyone?

P.S. I'm 189 cms (just under 6'3")

it is multiple plants. im 'clumping' several varieties this year. have 3 trinidad scorpions clumped together and they are doing great. growing short and wide, not leggy at all. kinda cool, hoping for small size with BIG production. will see. also have some cherry tomatoes clumped with as many as 5 plants in one pot. should be interesting.

Though I didn't realize what I was doing at the time, I clumped some of my Rocotos last year. They were far enough apart that they weren't directly competing for nutrients, but the competition for light seemed to make the plants grow up rather than out, and the mess of stems ended up helping to support each other. It also helped with pod set as the ambient temps under the canopy were much cooler than our blistering summer heat.

I'll probably try it out again this year.
