recipe-help Anyone want to share a particularly good pickling recipe??

Just to confirm -

I don't want a recipe, but rather a formula for pickling, where the basic ingredients of pickling are noted along with method, to which I can add my own ingredients later....a kind of 'template', I guess. (Never pickled anything in my life!)
