hot-sauce AntJans Sauces 'Yikes'

Haven't seen a thread on this sauce, so I'll kick things off.

Met Tony and Janelle today and they were kind enough to give me a bottle of their 'Yikes' Habanero based sauce (and the delicious smelling 'Strawbz' dessert sauce...).

I kept smelling the aroma, and couldn't pin down what seemed like a really familiar smell? Not a sweet smell as I anticipated either.

I had a teaspoon full, and was immediately in love with it. Typical Habanero punch and an incredible flavour. Not as fruity as expected, but the spices and garlic came through nicely.

I liked the fact that the heat and flavour are so well-balanced. After a minute or so, I realised that what I couldn't put my finger on initially was that it reminded me of a Satay? I love Satay Beef/Vegetables and I'm going to use this in my next one :)

It'd also be great with other Asian sauces.

They've nailed it (in my opinion) with this one, and well worth trying.

Thanks for the review John, and also a big thanks for the seedlings. I'll have to make sure I don't kill them by my usual fussing around.
