I planted my seeds for this year's plants on Dec 26, 2009 and set the plants outside at the end of april, just started getting ripe pods 2 weeks ago. They take a LOOOOOONG time to go from green pod to ripe red pod.

I have some Bhut seeds drying from this years harvest, shoot me a PM with your address and I can send you a packet when they are ready (maybe a week or so more dry time). If you arent going to grow them inside through this winter, I wouldnt plant any Bhut seeds this year, tehy take upto 6 months to get ripe pods.
