    Stupid question time. If I harvest seeds from an F3 pod then those seeds will grow into F4 plants correct? I don't know why I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this

    i'd say they are only f4 if they are the same pheno as the f3, but whatev.
    like if you have orange hab f3, then you save seeds from a brown one...
    but people disagree with me and i'm probably wrong oh well.

    Went mantis egg sack hunting in the field last night and was lucky enough to find two unhatched. Now in jars just waiting. Will be a big part of my organic pesticide army

    Mantis' = coolest insect EVER (not counting some exotics found on some far away jungle isle..) Used to catch them on Goldenrods!

    5 x 5 raised bed done now to do the 20 x 4. Great day to do it. Found a sweet local raised bed mix for $24 a pickup load. 60% screened top soil 40% compost and pine bark fines

    Sick of fighting aphids all winter on my ows in the basement with sprays and such. 150 lady bug commandos on the way. Aphid those damn aphids are going to find their way up from the basement and into my 400 seedlings. No more playing games with those bastards

    I've just been stripping the leaves off the ows for most of the winter so they don't have much to feed on but the damn things are still there. Just lucky they haven't made their way to upstairs. Other than the aphids most of the 24 ows should make it

    The ladies should take care of things in due order. Just make sure you haven't sprayed insecticide before letting them loose. I've split plants between rooms in past OW's and the aphids only attacked one room, so your upstairs plants may well be ok. Hope the OW's pull through for you!

    Dammit I used to love soft shells so damn much. Can't even count how many I've eaten. Until I got a bad one a few years ago and threw up for 2 days straight. Haven't been able to eat one since.

    Any recommendations on a point and shoot digital camera? Under $130. Was looking at Nikon Coolpix 3600 or 3700 or Canon Powershot A2500. Just something to shoot pod porn mostly. Thanks

    i have a powershot, i got a new phone and now my phone takes just as good pics. so don't ever use my camera anymore.

    Yeah I was reading that many companies are moving away from the cheaper point and shoot since smartphone cameras are so good

    I grew 120+ plants this year, but I had a poor season. I'm bumping it to around 500 plants next year.

    Always consider free sources of haul your own manure. Compost it in piles and fill up pots :)
