I was REALLY impressed with Mike's. Then I asked how much... :(

Also...Abuela's was awesome. Salsa was solid...can't say anything bad about it...quite nice, actually. The best part...they gave me a free carnita taco.

Looks like a good turnout. Hopefully next year I will be able to make it.

We'll definitely be at the Bowers show. We did it for the first time last year (after Zest Fest moved to Januarey, as it was always the same weekend as Bowers) and had a ball. I now call it "The Gem in the Woods".

Nope, but I missed you too.... Wish I could have stayed around a bit longer, but I had to pick the kiddos up from gramdmas house. Maybe next year I can get the wife to come along and we can all go out to dinner.
 
I'm wearing my Sicman T-shirt TODAY and spreading the Word.... but at the Awards Banquet, I am apparently:

A) talking about a fishing trip
B) describing a piece of my anatomy
C) analyzing the metric system

As an aside, my colon probably hates me. I'm putting the Trinidad Scorpion BBQ Sauce on PIZZA!

And as a call-back to a Ringside post: it IS definitely expensive to order these great products on-line, BUT... damn, a little goes a long way. And I'm referring to the extra hot stuff. Typically, "a drop", suffices. We're not talking "KC Masterpiece" or even "Tabasco Sauce" (where you slather it on).
 
Thanks everyone for posting pics. I'm glad that you all had a good time. As usual, Defcon looked like a cross between a mad scientist and a psycho biker. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
 
ZestFest was a blast and quite a rush, we sold out of a few items. SalsaLady, it was great to meet you in person, I have been using the Garlic Habanero Sauce you gave me, such a unique and excellent sauce, I really like it. If you still need some labels for your husbands hard hat let me know where to send them via PM and I will mail them out to you. Thanks for the pics, wish I would have taken a few more but the whole event was a whirlwind. Until next time, Tim
 
Thanks, Tim! Yes, He could use a few more labels. I finally found your sauce yesterday. I put it in one of the boxes to ship home and then couldn't find it. I finally went through the whole inventory box by box and found it. :lol: We're digging into it this weekend.

That is awesome, I am glad he likes the shirt. I look forward to hearing how you like the sauce. I think you took a hot scorpion bbq right? It has a pretty good kick but not so hot you can't eat it (if you have a decent heat tolerance). Anyway, let me know what you think.
