chinense OBEAH F1 - Reaper x MoA Scotch Bonnet

Going to ow mine jic the next generation isn't as good...

GssJsys.jpg

John, Mike and Student of Spice will get seeds from the bumpy moa lobe pod previously posted.

What I have found interesting is that, my over winter plant had the reaper bumps one sec, but not the next.  My outdoor, in soil, plant had bumps at first and second harvest, but no longer has the bumps.

Lastly, my DWC plants don't have bumps but have, in my opinion, the best flavor and heat, out of all six plants that I have growing.

Will be changing things up next season, with the type of soil I make, amendments, and starting procedures, for my outside plants.  See if that could be cause.  Plus, will grow three different sets, from three different year seeds...

John, how are yours looking?
Small at the moment and the last variety to ripen however the early forecast is that we in the UK may get a good October as long as the night temperatures dont get too low. What has impressed me is I have plenty of pods following the same pheno a nice rounded bottom but one or two still have the Reaper tail

Once I get some colour I will post some pictures.... thanks again for the seed but sorry your plants didnt thrive this season ....more than happy to post seed back

Really pleased with this variety this season as I only had one pod with a tail. I have three seed savers the pods on the left. The heat and taste is good pretty uniform across the grow. I eventually found KD King Denniz on Instagram and have promised him some seed. Shame we don’t hear from Steve Queen from Fort Lauderdale it’s creator

hey thanks for the work growing out this. I heard from steve for 2 or 3 years now =\

seems like column1all and column2row2 have the best pheno, you are selecting for that bonnety shape right?

so will it end up being similar to scotchbrain / sb7j? less bumpy i guess.

I think it would be fair to say we had a good summer last year here in the UK and columb one have the better pheno

Besides growing myself I sent seed to both Sandra Tipton and Justin White to help me grow out .... this photo is from Sandra

Wow, those look really great...

I've got two seedlings started in my grow tent.  I intend to grow both indoor, one in water (DWC) and the other in coco coir.  The DWC will be in it's own tent to ensure I don't accidentally cross it with the other pepper plants I have brewing...

Should have something to show in a couple weeks.

By far, my favor looking/tasting pepper.
