I am new to the forum I thought I post my pics of self watering planners that I made. all of the materials were bought at the dollar store for two dollars
I wanted to use my nice existing ceramic pots as a self watering planter

Need to figure out how to post pics
 
Here are the instructions using a penknife and sharp scissors cut a small hole in the top of the container lid and insert the whistle toy tube. Cut slits insert a cotton wick.
Bury the container in the bottom of your favorite planter
Use a wine cork with a stick as a float

You can also use plastic bottles if you don't have a glass cutter
 
I had trouble posting pics. I couldn't make it work with photobucket, so you're doing better than I did. Tapatalk was recommended to me, and that is working well.
