soil Potting Mix

I read somewhere online of a simple mix which was ment to be good for growing chillis in pots is this a good choice or a bad idea?

10 Parts Sieved Compost
1 Part Perlite
1 Part Vermiculite
1/2 Part Fish, Blood & Bone

Let me know what you think?

If the compost has good water retention ability, you may be able to skip the Vermiculite. If my base was just a good compost and perilite I'd go 6parts Compost, 2 or 3 parts perilite. For every 7.5 gallon of mix I'd put not more than 4-5 cups total of organic amendments, 1 cup of dolmite, 4-cups of rock dust. Dampen, let it sit 30 days.
