Aji Limon Porn

Right before the big freeze came in November I gave my brother some potted Aji Limon plants, which he is overwintering in a south-facing window. This morning he sent me this cool porn shot:

Good looking pods. I am growing some of these this season. The seedlings have been very temperamental for me. More so than most of my varieties.

Stick with it, because they are great-tasting peppers, and the mature plants are extremely robust and productive. Even now, they continue to set flowers and new pods, while the overwintered chiltepins and habaneros are just sitting there waiting for spring.

For what it's worth, my Aji Limon seeds came from the Chile Pepper Institute. Germination rate for all of their varieties was nearly 100%.

I have been lucky enough to try the Aji Lemon for the first time recently and WOW.... they are my favourite pepper right now! They taste awesome!

My plant is an absolute trooper too! It just keeps flowering and producing even before the other pods on there ripen and was the first to bounce back after some extreme weather we were having here.

is the plant tall? the pods look light my hot lemons. my hot lemons are really tall plants.

These plants are about 24 inches tall. However, Mega claims to have Aji Limon plants that are 6+ feet tall.

I thought Aji Limon, Lemon Drop, and Hot Lemon were all different names for the same C. baccatum variety?

There is Limon which is a chinense and then there are Aji Limo, Aji Limon,Aji Lemon, Hot lemon which are C.baccatums.
Some folks say they are the same some say they are different but they do have different looking flowers and slightly different looking pods. Pods can vary in the same chilli but flowers dont usually vary much.

So unless other folks on here can shed any further light on the subject I guess the only thing to do is grow them all out and see.
All the reading I did came up with different height plants, different sized and shaped pods, some smooth some not.

Now that could not be more clear! Thanks!
