I Bought a New Lodge Cast Iron

I have a Cast Iron Dutch Oven, and a grill pan, but I decided I needed a new cast iron skillet. I think it is about 16in. Handle on the back and pourers on the sides. Nice and heavy. Watch for it later in the poppers thread. These things are the best for cooking steaks too. (If you have to do it in the house that is)

Check out You tube, search for Alton Brown - Cast Iron there are 2-10 minute episodes on how to cook a near perfect steak in a cast iron skillet along with tips on care and cleaning your cast iron skillet.

If I can't bbq, I would rather have mine done in his way. It is the perfect steak.

Yeah, you can make a mean steak au poivre in a cast iron. Try doing that in aluminum or stainless.
