grilling Fresh Orange Juice based Marinade for grilled lamb?

Pepper Belly said:
Does anyone have a good recipe for fresh orange juice based marinade for grilled lamb?

i have a few

Margarita Marinade

1 − 10 oz. can diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup Tequila
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated lime peel

this is one that i use when i cater a bbq
now keep this is mind that this is for 35lbs approx of meat..lol
you will have to scale it down for smaller use..lol

1 can pineapple juice; ( 1 Qt ) or orange juice
2 tablespoons Mexican light chili powder
1 tablespoon pascilla light chili powder
2 tablespoons Reno Red chili powder
1 tablespoon cayenne
1 quart cranapple juice
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1/2 large red onion; (minced)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons pepper cracked Black
1 teaspoon fennel seed
1 tablespoon ground rosemary
5 bay leaves
6 tablespoons celery salt

Reserve your marinade and add olive oil for your mop. I marinated this loin for 36 hours. I also cut it in half because of its size. Cut this recipe for the size of your loin. I also turned it in marinade when I had the chance. I smoked it with apple and cherry and kept the temp between 235 and 250F. This was excellent.

this next one is for limes but you can subtitute

Spicy Lamb Loin Chops (Chipotle & Lime)
1 8oz can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
5 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon worchestshire sauce
3 limes, zest and juice

Combine all ingredients into a blender of food processor and puree.

Cover lambchops with marinade in a zip top bag and marinade for at least 1 hour.

Reserve 1/2 cup of puree to brush on the chops while cooking

i cooked them for 7-10 minutes about 130*F

For lamb I would definitely mess around with some fresh herbs including mint with the orange juice. Cilantro, basil, mint... orange juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil. Like a chimichurri. A tablespoon of balmasic would finish it nicely.
