Hottest, most oily, gnarly RED Superhot

The Chuck Norris moruga I grew a few years ago was very oily and crazy hot. I tried the Bhutlah Scorpion last year and wasn't too impressed. This year BTR and Skunk Red are the two hottest red in my garden. The BTR seems to have more oil/placenta than the skunk. Douglah Red Phenotype is another...

    devils tongue v fatalii

I voted Fatalii. Grew both in 2013. Flavor - they were very close and are both excellent! Heat - again very close but I found the Fatalii to be a bit hotter. Fatalii had larger pods with significantly less seeds than the Devils Tongue, which is why I prefer Fatalii over DT. Red Fatalii is...

flavor They kinda taste the same

Wes told me that Bad Brains is an unknown cross into his Yellow Brain Strain. He stated it could have been a Bhut, but really didn't know. Since he didn't mention Fatalii as a possible cross, it probably isn't. Bad Brains and Scotch Brains are among my favorite yellow peppers. I also really...

heat What's the hottest thing you're growing this year?

The chocolate lava has been consistently the hottest in my garden the past 3 years, although the chocolate primo was a very strong contender last year. This year I'm trying the BTR and chocolate bhutlah in addition to some of the classic supers.

    Satan Strain is hotter ???

My experience is that the Satan Strain is an inferior version of the TSM. I didn't find it to be any hotter, actually it seemed to have a little less heat, and the shape of the pods were variable and none had that classic TSM shape.

    7 Pot Douglah Questions

The first I heard of it was from Judy. It is said to have been discovered among her other douglah plants. I think she called it the 7 Pot Douglah red phenotype. It could be an unknown cross.

frutescens "Chunpepe" a delicious wild C.frutescens from Honduras

I am sad to report that my chunpepe plant will not produce any pods this year. It actually stopped growing in June and hasn't progressed any since... very strange. It is good to see that yours is producing. Let us know how the pods turn out.       Not to derail this chunpepe thread too much, but...

frutescens "Chunpepe" a delicious wild C.frutescens from Honduras

No, like Zackorz, the pods on my plant started erect but ended up being too large to stay erect. I sent Zackorz some of the original seeds you sent me (which apparently are an F1 cross) as well as some of the F2 seeds from my plant. Last year he had some very nice phenotypes.   I did not try...

chinense Milder Habanero (or hotter Trinidad Pimento/Seasoning)

I grew these the past couple years but did not grow this year due to space limitations. Will most likely grow again next year. They are fantastic snacking peppers and go great with meals!   I got the seeds from Wicked Mike... he threw in seeds for a bunch of different varieties when I purchased...

chinense Milder Habanero (or hotter Trinidad Pimento/Seasoning)

I agree with the Brazilian Starfish... an awesome pepper... but it does not have the chinense flavor profile.   2 peppers come to mind for a lower heat habanero with strong chinense flavor.   Galapagos Island Habanero - a red habanero, thick walls, great habanero flavor, about half the heat of a...

Origin of the 7-pot BBG (bubble gum)

Yes, I believe the Borg9 is Nagalah x BBG7, and Bleeding Borg9 is BBG7 x Nagalah... thus different mother plants.
