Mine are all in the greenhouse for the winter, 19 plants. Had to pull and pot, have had days below freezing here, daily rain, stormy and very windy. Trying to survive: reaper 3x reaper mutant (faster heat, not forgiving if you use too much) larger pods, high production Lava x3 ghost dragon x2...

I also prefer the flavor of the reaper over the moruga, never tried the 7 pot.

I have been trying to trim leaves branches as well but leaving half the leaves on the branches that have pods and it seems to be speeding the ripening up for me. Not sure if that helps or not.

Mine did the same thing, 3 reapers, all flowered heavy and had drop at times. Reaper #1 ended up with only 10 peps all season, #2 got about 50 and #3 have had about 40 with another 20 or so almost ripe now. Most of the time flower drop occurred during hotter days, 90f=32c with direct sunlight...

Welcome. I am also new this year but can offer a few tips, read the various growing threads, spread seeds thinly, in pots try bottom watering- I use a tiny wading poll and give about 10 mins for soil soaking. My reapers all have pretty small leaves, my dragons have huge leaves, ghosts and lavas...

I had the same problem early on so added a 50% shade cloth only on days over 85* and wow big difference. I also bottom water, generally on Sat mornings and just give sips during the week. Mine are ground covered with straw.

I have 2 reapers in pots that are doing the same thing. Both produced a little bit then both bushed up a lot. One has about 20 fruit the other has 4 both flowered at same time. The "slow" one is now flowering about 3 to 1 so hold on and wait to see if at the end they catch up.

Same thing happened to my most productive Scotch but it was in ground, but looks just like that. All other plants in box are nice green and bushy.

It's a weird one, more round than an apple and almost 2" across, the rest are shaped the same and 1-1/2" or a tad more. Since it's the only one that germed from the lot not sure what to think, but it is strange that 3 of 4 seed packs were marked wrong. Big box hardware store purchase btw...

Stupid question here but I assume the F # refers to the number of generations from origin plants like dog breeding?
