    alkhall 2024

It has been a month since last post. Planted out today, a lot of them really needed it, root bound and starting to turn yellow. Planted 37 in main raised bed. Another 15 (maybe 16) in small raised bed. Gave away 10 or 11, have 8 left to find a home for. Thanks for looking. I will try...

63° going to 82°. Woke up to thunder and lightning around 1, did not get much rain though. Already planted Bells, Jalapenos, Cayennes. Cooling off for the weekend, lows in the mid to upper 40°s, probably plant the hot ones next week. Everyone have a great day.

Weather forecast is really improving. Upper 70°s to low 80°s for next 7 days. At least a small chance of rain every day. Plant out less than a month away. Need to get them in the ground!

    health Noob question

Most Caribbean chinense peppers have the 'bubbly' leaves. From the pic, yours do not really seem excessively 'bubbly'. For example, here is one of my Scotch Brain plants: https://thehotpepper.com/attachments/img_0443-jpg.123891/

health Brown/greying of leaf edges with affected leaf areas feeling thin and empty.

I have a couple of those. Not an authority on this matter by any means, but I have noticed my humidity is usually 20%-40%, and I do not have anything like the OP is experiencing. The temperature is usually between 70°F (lights off) and 90°F (lights fully on).

Well, being plural, I believe most wold presume I meant Capsicum. Had I said, for example 'I have some pepper', I believe that would be interpreted as black pepper (piper niger), which is a drupe, not a berry.

sun Newbie . Seedlings 3 weeks sprouted but not looking great? Advice?

If you can find Fox Farms Ocean Forest or Happy Frog, I would highly recommend them as your potting medium. I use a 50/50 mix of both.

    misc Question about hardening off.

One thing I have noticed since I started using UV lamps is that they seem quite a bit more tolerant to that first exposure to natural sunlight.

    I usually just say 'peppers'.
