We started celebrating on Friday eve, and we'll continue through Saturday the 8th! Spending much needed time with the family and hanging on the beach. Also cruising 6hr drive to Hendersonville NC for a few days of cow tipping in the mountains with the inlaws.
Made some Killa Hot sautaed shrimp yesterday with Cajohns Fire Dust, butter and garlic. YummmmmOOO!!

Everyone have a safe and Happy 4th of July!!!!

Saturday, dargened watched the peppers grow.
Sunday, gardening, watching the ppers grow, drinking some free beer at BJ's Brewary.
Monday, gardening, watching Superman Returns at the Chinese Mann Theatre.
Tuesday, HUGE BBQ DAY(hopefully), burgers impregnated with my special "Dave's Zesty Blend", Defcon Wings, and possably potatoes...

tomorrow- ( Monday) go to grocery store..make salsa from homegrown tomatoes and peppers...start briskets...smoke all night.

the 4th- eat smoked meats, drink lots of beer and celebrate victory over the limeys by exploding loads of fireworks and discharging firearms in the back yard.

mon and tuesday...i would like to buy 2 kiddie pools.....fill one with cool water and the other with beer and just sit in the cool pool for 2 days solid and drink all the beer.

Well the long holiday weekend has finally come to a close.

Saturday: Had BBQ chicken out on the deck with the family.
Sunday: Smoked a tenderloin and had a buddy over from work for dinner and a few beers.
Monday: Recoup from Sat & Sun, get ready for the 4th.
Tuesday: Went to a friends house with deep fryer in tow for the annual 4th of July pool party she throws every year. Did up some Defcon Drummies which were a huge success. Drank quite a few beers, shot off some fireworks, and enjoyed the pool and the hottub.

All in all an excellent weekend. Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

I did some Defcon sauce on the beef and my friend used about 1/4 a bottle of my newly bought Defcon Condition 3(but I did buy it for people to use...). Big success.

Glad to hear it guys. Remember, the retro, MONSTER-sized Defense Condition #2, 16 ouncers will be out and available hopefully over the weekend. I'm making 200 of these, each graciously numbered and signed by your truly, just to see how they do in the marketplace.

Just an FYI Defcon, the signature comes right off when the bottle is cooled. I had nice silvery-gold fingers when I handled the signed bottle you sent me after the first use(well, untill I wipped it off ;) ).

Yeah, but look how beautiful your fingers were for that short time. Just kidding. Anyway, I as most makers use the infamous silver/gold Sharpie markers. If someone knows a better marker to use, please tell me. It's a little rough with the amber glass to find a color that really stands out.

I smoked a few pork tenderloins, and made some habanero-mango salsa to compliment.
