BROWN THUMB ALERT....BROWN THUMB ALERT!!

yesterday at the cook off i went to there was a lady that gave me a plant.....it has a little thing stuck in the dirt that says long red slim cayenne pepper...right now it is about a foot tall with some flowers and cpl little peppers.
ok guys and gals i have already told yall i got a brown thumb.....what do i need to do with this plant......its still in the plastic thing. i left it in the hot car all day...i don't think that helped it.
oh well we will see.
so far i brought it in and watered it ...it looked kinda thirsty.

Plant it in the ground if you can, full sun, plenty of water. If that's not an option you should get him in a pot at least 16" in diameter. Good drainage on the bottom and a quality potting soil. Again full sun and keep it moist. dont overwater if using a pot. Make sure the water can make it out the bottom of the pot. Give him a shot of fertilizer too. I use fish emulsion but you can use whatever floats your boat.
