Very alert so early in the morning .... and in the afternoon ....and in the evening puppy energy is something else. My two kids are helping out a great deal, they are 10-13, at least until the novelty wears out. We are all taking training classes as soon as our football season is done, they are in the finals now....

Thanks everyone..

Watch out for chewing! And peeing on the carpet!!

good looking pup & bulldog. I like the markings on the pup.
I think the pup will turn out to be a good dog, even though its a pit mix pits can be great family dogs.

dont like the collars though, kinda surprised you use the same type of collar for the bulldog (well it looks the same, plastic clips) they broke on me before then bought some well made amish dog collars.

if he is happy, he won't even need a collar except to hold his tags with...heck, I can't run Roscoe off with a stick...

being happy has nothing to do with breaking a collar.

if the dog wants something, it'll go for it, including wanting to follow the master.
my sisters pit busted through a closed window in the SUV, why ? because it wanted to follow the master that went inside the house. we were all shocked it did that since its tempered glass, but then again he was a big lugnut but a good dog.

About a month ago I ordered one for my dog from here...
http://www.gundogsupply.com/-100-.html
It came out to be a little under $13 with shipping. The thing I like about it is the riveted info tag. The only thing now is to see how well the engraving holds up to abuse. So far so good. The leather was surprisingly thick as well. All around happy with the collar.

josh - thats a well built collar & good price.
I've bought two from the amish, one was a single hook & 1" or 1.5" (forget)
the other one is a double hook & 2.5" wide heavy thick leather (both were heavy thick leather) but the D-ring & hook latches on both collars are swaped from the picture you show.

those plastic clipped collars break to easy, example you chain your dog up & it runs towards something :snap: dog is running free.
but I know longer live in city limits so my dog runs free (stay on property though) & hasnt worn a collar for about 4 years but is chipped.

The collar before this one was nylon with the plastic clips. I was happy with it but the reason I got a new one was because I couldn't stand her tag jingling as she walked about especially at 5am. I never had to worry about it breaking because my backyard is fenced in and when I take her for a walk I put a harness on her. Still, I am very happy I got the new one. It was exactly what I wanted and for a great price.

I've gone through many collars and leads with Murphy. The one he's got at the moment is an industrial strength one, an elephant would struggle to break it.
