Agreed - but don't order anything but the ribs or pulled pork - the steaks are dry and not worth not having the ribs.

Thanks. I'd never order steak at a BBQ restaurant anyway, I prefer steak au poivre, or filet mignon, from a French or Belgian restaurant, or steakhouse.

Once more for posterity...
One does not, repeat NOT, bbq steak.
Steak is meant to be fast braised juicy beef, not slow-cooked dried out shoe leather.

After venturing over to Virgil's BBQ (http://virgilsbbq.com) a few weeks ago, I say again, that Dinosaur is the best you will find in NYC. I used to go to Virgil's a lot, before Dinosaur was around. Used to be about the best you could get in the big city. Not anymore. Virgil's is "tourist" BBQ. Maybe I just say that cuz it's in Times Square, and it's full of tourists, but now, I have something to compare it to, and the food tastes good, but it doesn't compare to the real BBQ at Dinosaur. It's also too expensive for what you get!

I've always wondered what dinosaur taste like. If I ever venture up NY way, I'll give it a try.
Fred Flintstone always seemed to enjoy it. YaaBaaDabaDoo!!
