Well I pretty much had a weekend of hell. Pretty much thought I might not make it out of the weekend. Went today to the doctor and the results were as followed.

Blood pressure: 120/70

Heart rate: 66

Asthma ( I have that ): Better than last time, lungs at 70%.

Doctor listened to everything inside me and everything I had to say. His conclusion was that I was having Anxiety issues. He ordered some blood work also. He thought maybe I was Anemic from some of the things I said. Also wanted to check my Liver for something and something about Electrolytes.

Anyway he prescribed Buspar and told me to try it for a few weeks and to call him if anything happens out of the oridnary. He said he will call when he gets the bloodwork back.

As for me I feel totally fine now and I am about to go pick up the script. I hope he is correct with this.

I thank everyone for thier concern and help with this matter.

Hmmmm.....well, I did say it was something with the brain...and anxiety is in the brain.... let's see what the test results say.

Dick, I was going to ask the same thing.

If there is any Anxiety, this could be playing a big part if things are still as they were a while ago????

Doctor listened to everything inside me and everything I had to say. His conclusion was that I was having Anxiety issues. He ordered some blood work also.Let's wait until your lab tests come back before jumping to any conclusions. If anxiety is the issue, I can fully understand.

When faced with an issue or issues that have no apparent solution that is satisfactory, we all try to funnel the issues into a satisfactory solution anyway. We will mentally fight and adjust and attempt to alter the issue in any means available to our minds to make it fit a reasonable outcome.

This non-stop, never ending, frustrating, non-resolved constantly adjusted issue or issues wear on us both physically and mentally. The pressure to discover a satisfactory answer builds within us, with no avenue for relief until it shows itself in symptoms such as raised shoulders that are pulled up to our ears, muscles that are constantly tense, and the inability to think properly about every day things because our minds are occupied with *that* issue.

The anxiety resulting can cause all manner of things. The meds that can be prescribed will cause you to relax your mind and body. This, in turn will allow you to perhaps approach the issues causing your anxiety in a different fashion that may also result in a solution that is satisfactory to you.

Deep, even breathing. A relaxed posture. Those two things are what you need to start with. Notice them both, as often as possible.

Good luck to you my friend. Please let us all know how you progress.

Thanks all. My marital situation has just recently took a turn for the better. We are doing alot better than before and everything seems to be ok. We both have had alot of stress on us, from our marriage and financially. This was onw of the factors he weighed in the diagnosis. When I say financial stress I mean AlOT of it. I think it is part of our marriage issue as well.

The bloodwork he ordered was a CBC and a CMP, whatever those are.

I can already tell this medication might be the end of my marriage. I have absolutely no patience and I get MAD real quick now, already. There are no "magic beans" that will make life perfect for you without your work to help improve it.

Patience is a learned virtue. No one is born with it. As I said in my post just past, deep breathing whenever you can think of it will help. Nice, long, deep breaths.

Learn to keep your lips together for awhile before replying to someone. That gives your brain a chance to kick in first. Think about what it is you're getting ready to say, BEFORE you say it.

Most medications have an accumulative effect. You have to take them for awhile before they have their intended action. Try your new med for a full month before giving up on it. Never just stop taking a med. Tell your Doc you want off of it and ask how to ramp down from it to avoid adding even MORE stress to yourself.

Getting past anxiety problems takes work. You'll have to make a conscience effort to help yourself get past this problem.

Good luck to you man! Give it your best.

Its good to see you are settling into it all mate.

Just by chance, did you ring the doctor to see if the instant angry and short fuse was a side affect.

Even though you are feeling better, it might still be something they might want to know about?

anyway, just relax, don't stress and eat something hot......

Absolutely agreed!

Necrocannibal: If you take new medication for blood pressure you will feel the effect in two or three days. With antidepressants it's at least two or three weeks! Talk to your wife about that and she will understand an be patient. If you keep communicating she will take a lot. If you shut it all inside she won't take too much.
