Hi Guys,
Have any of you ever come across a seedling like this? Is seems to defy the laws of photosynthesis

Believe it or not, this is Naga Morich seedling grown by someone I sent some seed to. Ive never ever heard of an Albino plant. It will be very interesting to see how this one turns out.

Its not one of my plants, but I dont believe its ben digitally altered.
Ive asked to the grower to keep us informed. It will be interesting to see how long it lives for.

I was wondering how long it will survive for once it's used up the energy
it carried in its seed...

It'll live just fine being albino. I had a few carnivous plants that were albinos and they lived long and healthy.

Human and mammalian albinos live without much difficulty, but they do have difficulties that others don't... I wonder if albino plants might have similar concerns... such as sensitivity to light?

You're an atheist... I always wondered about this... How do you not believe in something that doesn't exist???

In the beginning there was nothing, then God said, "Let there be light", and there was still nothing, but at least you could see it.

I suppose the ultimate point of this religious segway is that even albino peppers are loved by God... or unGod (for Jonathan).

No... Buddhists believe that they if they follow the way, they actually become one with God... loosely translated, in other words, they can become God.

Had to register just to post about this. This spring I had a serrano that was albino like the one in the picture. It grew fine until it just started to get its first set of true leaves then died.

Welcome Aboard!! Cruise on over to the welcome thread and introduce yourself.
I've experienced the same thing with a Jalapeno plant. It didn't seem to have the energy to maintain once it started to become mature. Hopefully the plant above will survive. Could you imagine white peppers? THAT would be really cool!

It won't. I have 27 different types of peppers, I think, maybe more lost track of some so no I won't be going anywhere.

The Peppermaster seems to think that the little albino pepper will be short lived too. He said something about chlorophyll and breathing... He doesn't think it's going to live very long.
