I dry alot of them in my EXCALIBER dehydrator for christmas presents (caustic casey's secret pepper blend-- HOT AS HELL)... I also make habanero mash, pickle them, smoke them (in the bradley smoker, of course!!) etc. This is fun stuff!!

Yeah, the dried peppers get ground up in the cuisinart - they last a loooong time. I have some from 2005 that are still killer hot!

I think that dehydrating takes away heat but I'm not sure about smoking. It would definitely add flavor so it sounds good to me.
