Trinidad Large Yellow Congo

I have two plants from seeds that were sent to me. One is labeled Trinidad Large Yellow Congo and the other Trinidad Congo. The latter is a pretty red pepper but the yellow is still yellow. Does that mean it is ripe or will it eventually turn red?

There is a yellow variety that stays yellow, so if these are what you are growing they won't ripen to red.

Thanks. I tried to search for the yellow trini but couldn't find a picture so I didn't pluck them yesterday. I will today and add them to my collection.

Here you go...straight from Trinidad. They were supposed to be Congo Brown, but my source sent me yellow instead. I sure didn't complain! :)
