Ingredients: Red habanero pods, cayenne chilies, white vinegar, natural pepper flavor (contains soybean oil), tomato puree, pirri-pirri chilies, pumpkin seed, lime juice, salt, spices

I love this sauce! If you want an insanely hot sauce that actually has flavor, get it! Another good thing about this sauce is, the burn goes away quite fast. It's insanely hot, but it goes away after two or three minutes (for me). I don't know why that is, I haven't had that many sauces this hot, but it seems to me I've had sauces where the burn would last ten minutes. I'd rather have an insanely hot sauce that doesn't linger, and this is the one! This way, you can let your tongue cool before your next bite. A small dot goes a long way, so if you want more of a "sauce" the perfect carrier is tomato paste. I like to use tomato paste from the tube. A few shakes of Jersey Death to a teaspoon of paste makes the perfect sauce for dipping or spreading.

I agree. I add JD to just about everything (except cereal). A little goes a long way. One of Blairs' better creations.

I hear that stuff's hot. I've had the After Death and it's real hot. The possible side effects is way hot but I don't like the extract taste in either of those. Waiting in the wings still are Sudden Death and Mega Death.

The one sauce of Blair's I actually liked was the Original Death. Even my wife liked that one. Very nice garlicky flavor without that nasty extract that makes my tummy unhappy.

I'm a huge fan of Blair's Q Heat line... But then, I'm not big on extracts at all.

I opened one from a case and tried it. It's not terribly hot, but has some flavor too. I expect to sell these also. Blair was kind enough to send me 2 or 3 cases of samples, so I tasted, liked, and put them on the website too.Still haven't opened any heat yet. I like to wait for a group of friends so I can get 'subjective, culalative(?), opinions at one time. Heck, I think C-Rations taste great!!

I love all of Blairs hot sauces. I just placed my order for a bottle of Firecracker 500, it's a pre-order that will ship on the 16th of June I believe. Just another great sauce by Blair.

Wo-Hoo!!! I just got my order of Jersey Death in the mail. I imeditly opened it and noticed the warning on the "Suggested Uses" saying "Use sparingly. Jersey Death should not be consumed without dilution."

So I decided to just ignore that and sprayed some directly on my tounge...WOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! This stuff is hot!!!!!

I'm going to do my usual tests with it and then post a review on the boards.

Came with a groovy litte skull keychain too and some extras(I do love getting extra stuff, especially if it's got some nice graphic design that i can look at).

SIDE NOTE: I'm shaking right now, 3 minutes after sampling the sauce. My forehead is soaked and I have this huge adrenaling rush going on. I'm so full of energy that I'm going to run around in the lawn for a minute or two.(seriously)

i managed to get my hands on a bottle of this last week. without doubt, the hottest thing i've ever tasted...yet still so much flavour.

i can't resisting knocking back a few drops here and there...

i gotta stop walking past the fridge and start cooking with it.

having it straight is too punishing.

I suggest that if Jersey Death is too punishing that you avoid Zero... If my 13 yr old's assessment is any example, Jersey Death is just a slap on the wrist.

Hi Jeff, I do believe the ZERO they speak of is our creation here at DEFCON HQ. It's a limited release we do twice a year. It takes about 10 pounds of orange habs to make about 1-2 ounces of this stuff. What sets it apart from most of the extracts out there is the fact there is NO aftertaste, like the usual metallic or bitter taste, and it basically has virtually NO flavor, it just a little bottle of primordial evil. If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail on our site, and I'll add you to the ZERO mailing list. There will be 50 of these little beauties available on or about Spet. 10-11, and the first 50 people who respond, will be allowed to purchase one. The last batch sold out in less than 2 days, these I expect will go quicker.

As for the hole in Tina's daughter's tongue from trying this stuff, it's ok, they talk funny anyway above the border, eh?

Mix 2 spoonfuls in a cereal bowl of salsa and melted cheese. Adds a little bit of kick. Most people are oohing and aaahing over the taste for a minute, before the heat kicks in. After they get their breath back, they come back for more. Works with Sudden, Mega, and Jersey Death.

A good retort would be "If my gullet can handle that much hot sauce then I sould be able to handle your cooking." ...zing! But then she sould get mad and never cook for you again... ;)

I had 5 medium drops on each slice of pizza. I had 5 slices like this.. I did spread the drops around and it formed a black oil film on top of the slices.

I was literally sweating and my esophagus did burn a little. It was a great thing to do on the friday before xmas break here at work that way all the faculty see how much of a nut I am.. lol

I do believe Blair's to be close to 2x as hot as Mega now. My friend in TN couldn't believe how hot it was!!

I spoke to someone at Blairs about this a while back and they said that it is twice as hot as MegaDeath which I believe was tested at around 550,000 shu. That would put Jersey Death at 1.1million. Whatever it is for sure it is HOT :mouthonfire:

haha i do that same thing and my roommates just shake their heads. :hell: i didn't put it directly on my tongue though...just get a healthy drop on my finger and apply that to my tongue.

this stuff is pretty hot! tried a little a couple times just on its own, then added it to a marinade to add a bit of kick. i'm thinking about trying it on some tacos too...has been a while since i've had any tacos.

This sauce is really good. It is the hottest non-extract that I have had. The burn does go away quickly though which I like. The bottle is awesome and the look of the sauce is like mottled clotted blood. Use it straight and it is a barn burner. I just put a few shakes into a medium rated salsa and it kicked it up just right for me.

Wait a minute...Jersey Death is an extract sauce.

I finally decided to try this sauce. I bought a bottle at the Pepper Palace (Gatlinburg, TN). Anyway, I was nuking some chunky soup of some sort (alas...that is what I am reduced to during the week...med school doesn't leave time for cooking) Anyway, Several shakes of this sauce went into my soup.
First overwhelming flavor was the burnt flavor of capsaicin extract. Then the heat hit me. Didn't burn my mouth, but I sure did break a sweat. I guess the nerves in my mouth are already fried.
Anyway, this is one typical nasty-tasting extract sauce. If you use it to add heat to salsa, it might work....but in a can of soup, it overwhelms the flavor of anything else...and, as I said, I definitely broke a sweat.
One hot extract sauce.:hell::onfire::mouthonfire::shocked:

had a bottle of this stuff before i moved. very hot! i've been told it is hotter than the megadeath, but i haven't had them at the same time to try and compare. unfortunately i forgot this stuff, and it got tossed by my roommate while cleaning out the fridge. :( had plenty left too.

on the bright side, i have a bottle of megadeath in the fridge. :D

I found a good place for it. I like Arby's on occasion. About 5-6 drops on a regular roast beef sandwich, with 2 packets of Horsey sauce are about right. And great for clearing your sinuses.

well, i actually just got back from the other coast of florida last night and managed to swing by my old roommates new place in ft lauderdale..he had the jersey death in his fridge and hadn't used any since we moved. i remembered to take the JD with me...BUT i forgot a few beers and an almost full handle of rum in his fridge and freezer. didn't get a chance to go back and pick them up either.

now i guess i'll put them side by side and see if i can tell the difference in heat.
