:?: I planted all the seeds I got from Sean, but no peppers came up, just some green stems. Do I weed-wack them and wait for peppers or what?? Remember, I'm just a city boy. And my wife says peas and other things come from plants, instead of cans. :? Go figure. :?

Lol!
Another city boy with a black thumb... Sigh... Don't you know you have to sing Dave Lemon's Pepper Song to them??

1. When did you plant them?
2. Was the soil at least 50f?
3. Did you start the seeds in the ground or in a cultivating mixture? (ie: peatmoss)
4. What type of soil do you have in your area?
5. What were the air temps when you planted?
Just a few of the questions that need to be answered if you want some help on this.

I understand your logic. I thought the dried habaneros we use were grown on the sun.

And I wonder why it's such an uphill battle to educate the masses on 15 million SHU = pure cap???

I'd go straight for the malomar plant, then the yield is already enrobed in chocolate.

I read that you have to stress the plants. I invited my 'EX' over for the weekend, and now the wife, the dog, the plants. and I'm all stressed! :? OK, now that that's done, what next??
I still don't see anything to pick and eat. :?

Sure you did... it's called Hurricane Mash.
Thing is... we do the picking for you.

 That's how to do it alright!!! I've got to break down and get some more. That stuff is fantastic. Maybe I'll add some '0' to it. :D
Tina Brooks

If you feel the need to add zero... fill your boots.
I would add it at the last second though, so as to not interfere with the freshness of the pepper. :)

That's what makes the stuff you use to make zero, John. ;)

No, no, no. Mine are grown in the plasma soil of the Sun, hence the reason they are dried.

Your Mash is right fine the way it is. Spoonable. Makes a great salsa straight from the bottle. Wish I could get it in buckets. :D

Ok, I've got to ask because I don't know...what's mash...is it just peppers mashed or are there other ingredients?

Mash denotes that it is mixed with something. We either use lime juice or water. More often than not, when you hear "mash" it will be in vinegar and salt (for the right price, you can get the salt left out.
In the case of the Hurricane Mash (or the Goat Pepper Mash), it's packed in lime juice. We use citric acid to maintain our acid levels (lime juice breaks down over time) and a little sea salt to help hold the colour of the peppers.
And it can be gotten in larger quantities... but the price is given on quote requests only. (Anyone wanting a quote simply has to send an email enquiry).

I recommend it. In fact, I carry one around in my purse.

Speaking of mash, is there any kind of conversion for so much mash = so many fresh peppers?
Tina Brooks
05-04-2006, 01:27 PM
Standard converstion... no. Some people use more vinegar than others.
Ours converts to about 1 tsp or so = 1 hab or scotch bonnet.
Watch out with mash... a lot of them are cooked or fermented: ours isn't either.

You know Tina, it's a lot easier to use a can of pepper spray against a would-be attacker, than it is to open up a jar and try to throw mash into his eyes.

Btw... You mean "Desert Eagle", right?
By Dessert Eagle, I get visions of a giant can of whip cream.
