Cant Find A Member/ This Sites Lack Of Care.

I'm sure this will be erased VERY fast...so I hope as many people read it ASAP. It could effect you.

So I have to leave a general message. This is to Ty_lenol. You sent me peper seeds, I asked for African Congo seeds...and I got a package of seeds from you. But I cant read the writing, it all smudged off the plastic. I dont know if it is African Congo,or another one we talked about.

AND THIS site couldnt care less that someone 'hacked' into my account and deleted all my emails!! Beware, dont keep any important things in your messages. I told them that I went to my account and it was empty, the day before it had 5 emails in it and 2 sent emails. Not a lot of stuff. Maybe one or their computers erased everything in my messages,or something else in the site went wrong. I get...'it could have been hacked, change your password'. They couldnt have given 2 sh--s about what happened! I am shocked! Someone MAYBE broke into my account...I doubt it, but thats their story. It's like saying, 'oh your dogs dead,...buy a new one'! So I have lost all my email address'. So if I dont contact you..sorry...'I have been hacked' according to The Hot Pepper. Yea right!:shocked: Maybe the site needs more security??? DUH!!!!

You know the biggest secret from not being hacked is using a number/letter sequence pass..Thats not the problem of the site..Thats up to you to have a decent password thats hard to be hacked.Sorry to hear of your problems but dont jump on THP so fast..You go on any site with a simple pass someone WILL hack it...Id think this could be a lesson learned for you..

Running a forum myself, I can only opine you are looking for someone to blame besides yourslef.

Face it, no one really cares about your private messages except you and no one is going to spend time trying to get into your account just so they can delete them.

Methinks you hit "empty messages" by mistake and now are trying to blame this site for your error.

In all honesty and being frank, I typed nothing but the truth. Ask yourself, is someone really going to try to hack into someone with less than 50 posts and five personal messages so he/she can delete them?

buddy your computer has security issues not this site..change your email passwords regualry and dont use the same pass on your email/forums/msn/icq etc which a lot of folks do and thats asking for trouble..this plenty of decent free tools..cc.cleaner/spybot/avg sorry about your situation but ranting on here wont help ;)

You know. I posted this because I thought that a site MIGHT be interested in the fact that their users accounts can so eaily be hacked into,...so I posted it as a warning to others. This isn't my first day on a computer. I know how to make a password nearly unhackable. Why someone would want my emails is beyond me,. It is more likely the sites computer screwed something up and its now a case of...'dont look at me,I didnt do it'! So I was trying to warn others that someone is going on here....MAYBE. But I also knew I would get a bunch of stupid replies like this as well. This is what I get for trying to help others. Enjoy...I am sure I am just the first to loose everything...by a 'hacker' or the sites computer doing something wrong. It doesnt stop at 1 person. But no one cares, enjoy when it happens to you. A simple, 'man that sucks, sorry it happened, dont know what to tell you' from the site owner would have been nice. Instead of 'you've been hacked,change your password'. They don't care. Thus the reason I left the last pepper forum. And stopped posting here. But I took a chance and this is what I get...a bunch of snippy replies. Bye.

Ok and the continued point is?As for the seeds-stick em in the ground and see what comes.Congo or kudzu all you can do is wait to find out.As for messages they can be replaced.Anyone online is aware of hackers and what they can do.Keep em away the next time. Rich

You emailed me at 1:33 AM saying you were missing messages, I replied at 1:50 AM saying nothing happened on the site (after checking), and that you should change your password in case you were hacked. First of all that's a 17-minute response, try getting that on another site. Secondly, you may not have liked the reply, but that is the best reply to give in case you really are getting hacked, so you don't lose anything else. Better safe than sorry. You also sent an email at 1:44 AM saying you lost important messages from Ty_lenol, and could not find any info on him either. At this time I believed you were on the wrong site. I replied at 1:53 AM saying you may have us confused with another site as that member does not exist.

If you still need support I am willing to help you out.

1) Your preferences state that you receive a message notification by email for your PMs. So if this member (maybe you misspelled the username) PMed you from the site, you have a record of it in your email.

2) Your preferences state you allow members to email you. Perhaps this member emailed you, and did not PM you. Some people get emails and PMs confused since PMs send email notifications. Check your email.

Either way you should have email records.

Most likely not but there is also no evidence that he deleted the messages himself. He has been a member for 3 months and I would give him a little more credit than that.
