Jones Pure Cane Cream Soda

Ok, I'm not much of a Soda, or "Pop" drinker as they call it here in Michigan.(I call is Soda still though.) However, I hit up the gas station by my work and got this Soda. This is honestly the best soda I've ever had. You can honestly tell the difference between using Cane sugar instead of the high fructose corn syrup. I'm seriously going to get this again every so often. Just thought I'd share it. It's pretty tasty. Also, if you're ever in Kentucky Ale 8 is good as well. I just thought of that one. If you run into it it's worth buying IMO.

Jones makes some killer stuff. And you can go onto their website and upload pictures, that, if they garner enough votes, Jones will use it for a few production runs as the label art. I've uploaded like 20 pics there, but none of 'em made it onto a bottle yet.

Jones is...okay. I used to love it because of all the unique labels and occasional ridiculous flavor (turkey flavor anyone? how about mashed potato?), but it's hard to find non-sugar free stuff around these parts. Target carries the sugar free stuff and other flavors like strawberry lemonade and fufu berry. Panera even has some of their non-carbonated stuff.

You want a soda to blow Jones away? In Pennsylvania out by Allentown/Bethlehem, somewhere near there is an independent soda company that makes the most sinful root beer, birch beer, sarsaparilla, and cream soda you could ever have. It also uses cane sugar. I wish i could remember the name.

Yeah, I hate the hi-frutose corn syrup..it's just the worst thing ever invented. Pure calories, and that's it.

Poor corn these days..it's not even edible until it's processed into the syrup..that's just wrong IMO.

(Turbinado sugar is a raw sugar that is obtained or crystallized from the initial pressing of sugar cane.)

I use it mostly for coffee, which totally rocks, but also makes a difference in sauce making as well. :)

-QSI also use it for coffee at Fourbucks. It has a nice balancing effect on strong coffees. I also use Stevia for the same purpose.

I'm actually growing stevia this year. I plan on using it in teas and such. Not my coffee though. I like my coffee extra strong and black. Yeah, it's an aquired taste,but it's the only way I drink it.

If I'm ever out that way I'll keep that in mind. I still like the Jones, but if it's good and I run across it I'll give it a shot for sure!

The Coca-Cola here is made with real sugar (from canes). nothing like the American version.

I've had some of "jones" pop, some of their flavors are really good & some "no thanks" & their sugar free pop also falls in "no thanks" :lol:
but overall they're good.

I know this has corn syrup in it but " IBC black cherry " is my favorite pop! they also make other flavors that are really good too.

It doesn't mean it tastes the same. As much as I drink soda I'll spend the extra money when I do drink it. I'm usually a water, tea, milk, and beer on occasion drinker. ;) Also, Chilihunter any sugar free pop taste like crappola. Diet's the nastiest of all:lol: I'm interested in seeing how my stevia plant turns out though. That could be interesting in teas and such. My wife can't eat a ton of sweets either so that could be good for her.

I don't have a problem with corn at all. However, honestly I'd rather use sugar when it's supposed to be sweet. Also, I'm aware of where the agribusiness is headed. I honestly feel that they have been using some very irresponsible practices for a long time. You can only abuse the land for so long before things start drastically changing. I'll check out that video though.

I think Jones sodas have preservatives and artificial colors, if that matters. For me, I like the natural sodas. Reed's Ginger Beer is awesome.
