a few minutes ago, I was out on my back porch and sitting on the bottom of one of my rain water collection barrels was Mr. Gekkonidae. Seems the wife and I have new neighbors...he/she has a family 'cause I saw a another large one and a small one....I LOVEM'

I don't know much about geckos other than they eat spiders and stuff...
The wife has already warned me...."leave them alone"...

Cool looking lizard man. Here in Florida, we have so many kinds, I can't keep up with them. I've never seen one like that though. I like it's eyes. It looks well fed too. Fat little belly on em.

haven't noticed any noise, but then again, I don't know what to listen for...I will have to check it out...

Listen close enough, you'll hear them. They usually talk all about how Geico could save you loads of money on your car isurance....they have a British accent too for some reason.....

Here they sound like the sound you make hitting your tongue off of the roof of your mouth. Like a loud chirping.

That one you have there AJ is a Mediterranean Gecko
introduced into the SW U.S.A very cool little buggers
I was manager of the reptile dept of an exotic pet store
for a while 10 yrs back cool little buggers sold a ton
of those they do make noise but hard to say what it sounds
lile kinda like a low bark crossed with a frog croak :)

they're just beautiful, we have nothing like that in our climate. well... frogs and they are cute, too!
