Here is Gunners Youtube Video I made. I know
its kinda cheesy and lame  But since
I didnt have a digital camera when I got Boomer
and had to take digital pics of his old pictures
I figured I would take a ton of Gunner and make
1 now not like after the fact like when I lost Boomer.
Enjoy this cheesy video

I like cute things, Gunner's gorgeous. My dog came bounding up to me this morning with a lump of dog poo in his mouth and tried to get in the greenhouse with me, URRRRRGH!

Tom, that was a beautiful video. In fact all of your video's really get to me. They make me long for my dog. I haven't been able to have a dog since we moved here 6 years ago because my wife is allergic to them and since we are now in the city, an outside dog is out of the question. BTW gunner is looking great!

very sweet video. i'm gonna get a doggy when i graduate. i have a cat and i know she'll never forgive me but she can suck it up. we lost our first kitty really suddenly (and young) too then we realized we really didn't have a lot of pictures of him, now we take a lot of pictures of the cats (so many that we're walking the line between 'cat people' and 'cat ladies'...) plus the baby years are so adorable when they're passed you never want to wish you'd done more stuff like this.
the operation on boys is a lot easier than it is for girls, he'll bounce right back.

I had my bitch Jet spayed and recovery took a few days, I haven't had Murphy neutered though as I don't see the need to with him.

Ya i wanted to get my bitch spayed too, but she divorced me and took the car instead....
But seriously, it really is a good idea to spay and neuter every pet unless you're a breeder(and i honestly think some breeders themselves should be spayed/neutered!)

LOL, you always make me laugh Sickmont. Maybe it's different for pets in the UK, kind of don't go messing about unless it might be a problem.

I usually think of it as more of a responsible owner thingy....like just in case my cat or dog runs away or something, you know?
We had a couple of feral cats that we fed at our shop, and after 3 years we wound up with like 18 cats(and thats not counting the kittens we only saw once or twice....theres a lot of racoons around here as well), so we had a friend from the humane society come out and trap them and have them all fixed, then brought them back and released them. It really got out of hand here quickly.

Bloody hell my garden is like Fort Knox even Murphy couldn't escape if he wanted to. I'd have a cat done straight away though.

I know I am doing the right thing having him "fixed"
(if I had fixed Boomer he still might be here) but
dang it Gunner gets fixed there goes his chance at winning

I'm completely against fixing you pet. Unless it's overtly hyper or has some other problem, it's like ruining a good dog IMO. They never seem to be quite the same afterwards.
It's like declawing a cat, it's one of the most cruelest things people do to an animal.

My dog is fixed for several reasons. First, Chow-chows are prone to testicular cancer. Second, he's extremely over bred, inbred and has some pretty tragic flaws (like class 4 hip displasia and six toes on one foot) that should never be passed on to another pup. Third, a male Chow-chow gets extremely territorial when left intact... almost to the point of uncontrollability.
He's an absolute sweetheart. Mostly because that's his nature.

a buddy of mine had a chow looked like a big black fluffball with a purple toung..someone came over well wait till hes in the basement..Dont get me wrong he was a big teddybear but DD mentioned them being territorial and to me I think thats what he was..Chewie died about a month and a half back due to complications(I think coulda been age too)Either way a beautiful dog..I dunno if he was fixed mind you My buddy had to give him gravol just to bring him to the vet lol he didnt like the vet hehe..Another buddy of mine has 2 rotties the size of small horses lol Id go in his house before my buddies house who had the chow

there's enough pets in the pound looking for adoption, i don't need to compete with them for owners cuz my cat accidently got out when she was in heat (and trust me, it is a task to keep a cat in heat from gettin' out. plus suddenly you find out just how many male cats live in your neighborhood cuz they become veeeery interested in your house...).
from what i hear it just takes a minute off the leash in a dog park for a dog to get in the family way. i knew a girl in gradeschool who's family would often be in this situation but they didn't mind cuz they just sold the puppies for a tidy profit, until their dog died in labor along with all the puppies. i bet they regretted it after the fact.
yea, i don't see anything wrong with spaying and neutering.
