...why I didn't stay in the pool biz. Dudes....it's hard f'n work! To make matters worse, I'm a spa/hot tub repair tech.
I was doing some warranty work (read: My warranty is almost out so I want everything fixed that our family broke...) and this one spa was in a small enclosed building. Spa was at 105F and there was no wind.....so I was probably looking at 108-110F inside a hot box. For 4 hours.
Now, working on swimming pools isn't too bad. At least you have room to work. With a spa, you have 50 - 99 jets all snugged up in a box, with plumbing, and spray foam all over EVERYTHING. Half the work is just chiseling out the spray foam to get at the fittings.
Oh, well..... It's a job.
