...why I didn't stay in the pool biz. Dudes....it's hard f'n work! To make matters worse, I'm a spa/hot tub repair tech.

I was doing some warranty work (read: My warranty is almost out so I want everything fixed that our family broke...) and this one spa was in a small enclosed building. Spa was at 105F and there was no wind.....so I was probably looking at 108-110F inside a hot box. For 4 hours.

Now, working on swimming pools isn't too bad. At least you have room to work. With a spa, you have 50 - 99 jets all snugged up in a box, with plumbing, and spray foam all over EVERYTHING. Half the work is just chiseling out the spray foam to get at the fittings.

Oh, well..... It's a job.

Out of morbid curiousity...When working on Hot tubs, pools and spas in the area that you are, how many [I]nasty[I] spiders, scorpions and snakes do you find?

Since, I don't do spiders and snakes (snakes are more horrible than spiders) I can only imagine.

I use to be a plumber and while replacing some drain lines in a tight crawl space, I came upon a snake skin. Lets, just say I flew out of that crawl space faster than humanly possible...LOL...The helper on the job was on the ground laughing hysterically because he said all he could hear was thud, thud, thud,thud....thud. Since after my adrenaline calmed down and my head started hurting, I realized that I must have been smacking myself on every floor joist on the way out. Ya, it is hysterical looking back at it with hindsight...A snake skin? I just remember thinking that if there is a skin the snake couldn't be too far...
