This is a Mammoth jalapeno.Photo a week ago.Its supposed to reach 4.5".We have great conditions in the spring here, but they deteriorate quickly. Its been very humid the past week.My early sprind peppers are usually my largest, but have another plant that was pinched back.Anybody else in?

I think we're all trying to get the biggest one with the Chileman comp.

I'm still pulling off pods and flowers from most of my C. annuums

I just saw a mammoth jalapeno plant yesterday for sale at wally world...how are they for heat? Are they equal to the standard jalapeno, or more? or less? If the same or more...sure would make it easier to clean and cut up for salsa.

Sorry, not sure about the heat, have never grown previously.Basically i bought them to stuff, wrap with bacon and grill for snacks.Bigger the pepper, the more variety in stuffing I guess.I'm certainly hoping to get some heat and flavor.I haven't measured the peppers for a while, but I'm starting to get some striations in it,a good sign i hope!

How many cm is that? It's looks very healthy. It's hard to judge the length on a photo.

It's 3 inches long. First real pepper of the season. Sorry for not giving the size in the first post but I'm not in the competition, just thought the picture was nice.

Did you grow it after the 1st of January? Because if you did you can enter the competition.
