Well, the show last night went off GREAT! My noise project, "I Like Pie" played a 6 and a half minute set at Bella Dubby's in Lakewood. Decent turn out for the event. I got reviews of "F-ing off the hook!", "That was better than 75% of the noise bands out there", and, my favorite, "What's your email so I can contact you for shows".

Yep. I took a tape deck and placed it infront of my amp. Doesn't sound the best, but it does the trick. I'm trying to locate a friend that can convert them into a CD. I'm going to ask one of them tonight.

playing a Kentucky mandolin...just waiting for Vince Pawless to finish my custom made mando...its gonna be trick...going to have Schertler pickups in it...got a copy SG I play sometimes too...I can't believe the "true" mandolin sound that comes from it...I also have a Stage 1600 Fender that I used to begin with but don't like the solid state circuitry sound it gives the mando...

OH! I've played one or two didgeridoo's before. I've always wanted one.
Hmmm, put a little mic at the end of a doo, place it through a chorus and delay pedle and add a flanger....noisey!

Well, I went to a noise show (to watch) last night. Two people recognized me. One person from the show I played and the other because someone told her about "a noise musician from California". Oh boy, word travels fast.

So this project is just you playing guitar?
Check out this dude.

You may find some cool inspiration in his work.
He's been doing that sort of stuff for years. His father is noted free-jazz sax player Peter Brotzmann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Brötzmann) who played with NOISE BAND Last Exit ( see Bill Laswell. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Laswell))

y'know IGG every band could benefit from a hot chick on tamborine, plus i have no natural sense of rhythm if that makes it noisier...

maybe you can borrow a decent mic & tape deck to get a good recording (if thats your little device sitting in front of the amp it probably needs to be back about 6 feet)
Good luck man...or is that break a leg/string

Ya, that's the little tape recorder. I'm hoping that on eof my ascociets, Ryan, will be there. He's usually at these things recording them and putting them up on the net for free...so we'll see.
